The Victoria & Albert Museum in London aims to champion design and creativity in all its forms. Holding nearly three million objects of all materials, it aims to promote research, knowledge and enjoyment of the designed world. The museum has a busy exhibition and loan schedule.

Victoria & Albert Museum asked for a two-day workshop on management of risks, with a particular focus on building internal advocacy for organisational goals. The conservation department of the museum has a long history of collection risk management, and the aim was to further imbed collection risks with the existing organisational risk matrix.

Ultimately, this workshop helped the museum to establish a rotation policy of objects on the basis of vulnerability and value of objects.

The workshop was delivered together with Agnes Brokerhof, senior scientist at the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands.
